About the Davis™ Programme

People used to think that dyslexia was a life-long neurological disorder, but Ronald D. Davis, himself a dyslexic, discovered that this is not the case. Dyslexic people simply have an alternative way of thinking.

Some educators still focus on what people with dyslexia can’t do – process the sounds of letters and words – and try to get them to do it through practice, repetition and drill.

Davis™ facilitators focus on what people with dyslexia can do – think in three-dimensional visual images – and use this natural talent to help them learn efficiently.

A Davis facilitator works with learners individually. A self-assessment process draws out their strengths, weaknesses and goals. The facilitator then guides the learner through a unique programme to meet their needs.

A Davis programme contains many elements to help with visual, auditory and kinaesthetic learning.

When the brain is seeing things accurately and confusion is dealt with, there is improvement in areas such as reading and spelling and a corresponding increase in confidence.

Davis Dyslexia Correction® programme
A 30 hour programme for addressing language-based learning difficulties. Suitable for 8 years old and older.

Davis™ Math Mastery programme
A programme for mastering the foundation concepts of mathematics and gaining maths skills using three dimensional learning.

Davis™ Attention Mastery programme
This drug-free approach helps those with ADD/ ADHD to control energy levels and to focus. Mastering concepts enables them to better understand their own behaviour and its impact on others.

Davis™ Reading Programme for Young Learners
The unique partnership design of the programme allows parents of 5-7 year olds to gain the skills necessary to provide the child with ongoing quality support.
