Does it break your heart to see your child struggling at school?
Clarity Assessments provides psychometric assessments for school students, including those for whom special assessment conditions for NCEA may apply.* Assessments are conducted by Glenys Knopp, a Registered Level C Assessor with the NZCER and LDANZRegistered Learning Disabilities Assessor.
Glenys uses the Woodcock-Johnson IV, a highly-regarded standardised test of general cognitive ability, oral language, and achievement, including tests of reading, writing, spelling, working memory, maths, processing speed and phonological awareness. From this she can determine whether any specific learning difficulty (such as dyslexia) is indicated.
A full assessment in Darfield, including reports for parents and school or other agency, costs $490.00**. There is a discount for Community Services Card holders. (Additional costs apply for travel to other areas.)
*Note: For children with complex psychological needs you are advised to have them assessed by a Registered Educational Psychologist.
** A part of each fee goes to support a school working with children with special needs in Burma through Circuit International. Helping you helps me to help others!
